Part Time

The Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research, School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint a Clinical Research Fellow (Research Pathologist).

The postholder will develop innovative approaches to image analysis (including algorithm application and design, along with automated detection and grading of cancer from microscopic images) as part of the Tissue Hybridisation and Digital Pathology (TH & DP) section of the Precision Medicine Centre of Excellence (PMC).

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Medically qualified and trained in a National Pathology Programme.
  • Experience of Digital Pathology including use of image analysis programs.
  • A publication track record commensurate with the stage of career,
  • Experience of project management.

This is a Fixed Term post available until 30/09/2024. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
