THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 6 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICEIF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR THESECONDMENT POSITION, YOU MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM YOUR CURRENT LINE MANAGER PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THIS POST.The North Wales Brain Injury Service (NWBIS) is an inter-disciplinary, community-based brain injury rehabilitation service, based at Colwyn Bay Hospital. The team works across North Wales and accepts referrals for persons who have sustained an acquired brain injury.An exciting fixed-term opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 7, 0.6 WTE) to become a member of our team to provide person-centred, evidence-based assessment and neurorehabilitation to adults with an acquired brain injury.As a team we are committed to supporting a work-life balance and applicants wishing to work flexibly or on a part-time are encouraged to apply. The ability to speak Welsh for this post is desirable; applicants who have Welsh and English language skills are strongly encouraged to apply for this post.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be an experienced occupational therapist who will be able to work independently as well as part of the team. Experience of working with people with acquired brain injury and in neurorehabilitation is essential. The post holder will have experience in occupational therapy services for neurological conditions.There are excellent opportunities for continued professional development and clinical supervision and support will be offered for further training and formal education.
