About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Data Manager to join our expanding team of highly motivated data management and IT staff in supporting a growing portfolio of clinical trials. The post holder will take responsibilities for data management and database activities for studies within the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU).
About You
You should be educated to Degree level or above or hold equivalent relevant experience, relevant experience of data management in clinical research is required. Essential requirements also include experience of developing relevant data management processes and documentation and good understanding of the regulatory framework around data protection and information governance.
About the Institute
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine.
The post-holder will work in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods (CEM), a thriving centre that incorporates collaborative units who work to deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary strengths. The post-holder will contribute in Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU), a UKCRC registered clinical trials unit which leads and supports clinical trials in which the primary question of interest relates to intervention effectiveness: whether an intervention works under real-life conditions. It also carries out and supports pilot studies for these trials. The unit focuses particularly on trials of complex interventions.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is full time, fixed term appointment for 7 months, with an expected start date of August 2024. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £38,165 – £44,722 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Staff are current hybrid working.
