You will have an excellent customer service attitude and good working practises with food hygiene and health and safety and will possess the ability to work as part of a team and under pressure.

As a Coffee Shop Team Leader you are responsible for:

Business:

  • Providing an outstanding Coffee Shop experience, ensuring great service, high quality products offered and consistency in your approach.
  • Offering a clean and safe environment for all.
  • Recognise dissatisfaction and deal with complaints speedily and with empathy resulting in customer satisfaction and improvement to the overall guest experience.
  • Ensure a robust knowledge of all products provided, identifying all secondary spend opportunities and experience improvements.
  • To accurately take orders from customers, listening and offering advice on choices and menu options when required.
  • To deliver food promptly, to serve customers in a professional manner, ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned accurately to the correct safety standards.
  • Ensure tables are cleared and cleaned within 5 minutes of customers departure.
  • Operating the till system in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Take a proactive approach to the Health and Safety of yourself, fellow team members and customers.
  • Takes ownership of shift and service delivery ensuring all team are guest obsessed
  • Monitors daily service and tasks, observing speed of service, arranging appropriate resource when needed
  • Complete relevant administrative tasks including stock takes, stock ordering, safety compliance checks and legislative compliance checks.
  • Manage all Stock Margin, Cash Procedures and Cost Control in the department maximising profit and minimise loss.

Guests:

  • Ensuring all guests are given a warm welcome and a first-class service, giving a positive and memorable Lyons experience.
  • Confidently deals with guest concerns with the ability to resolve problems, show empathy and understanding. Reacts to Guest Feedback and works with the team to respond quickly to address areas for improvement

Team:

  • Creating and supporting a sense of community – a real family spirit.
  • Have fun whilst working in a clean and inviting environment.
  • Leads and coaches the team daily to ensure all areas of responsibility are covered, guiding all team members when needed and escalate issues to Complex Manager or Assistant Complex Manager when required. Deals with any employee relations issues as they arise. Support team through the induction including completion of mandatory safe and secure training
  • Ensure all team have the relevant qualifications and completed all training required for role
  • Identifying and developing future talent in department

  • Please note this is a seasonal position, you may be required to work full time during busier parts of the year. Coffee Shop closes after October half term.

Experience:

  • Previous coffee shop management expereince is a key element of this role.
