Details:Mission and objectives:The founders of the Africa Youths for peace and Development having seen harsh realities which are being experienced the entire continent as a result of war and the consequent violence galore which follow, have decided to form the organization with the vision of continental integration for peace and development for youths in the continent. It is the belief of this organization that violence achieves no meaningful goal.
Africa Youth for Peace and Development organization was formed 1995 and was finally registered in the year 2000 under the ministry of youth and sport in Sierra Leone, as a voluntary, youth development organization that aims at organizing, empowering and creating opportunities for youths and Youths groups that are in difficult circumstances.The organization has been working in the areas on Peace, HIV-aids, Homeless youths, War child, Health and Sanitation, youth development and total involvement of youths in the change of the society, That is by creating youth workshop training, seminars and conferences on how to bring everlasting peace and sustainable development for the minorities, the nation and the world as a whole.Context:Africa Youth for Peace and Development strongly believes in promoting activities of Human rights, sustainable development, and empowerment, for this reason, the organization has developed a project titled True Talk . the aim is to connect and engage with human rights and sustainable development writers to promote their news articles on our website. this website has a network worldwide who are keen to learn about the cultures and activities of countries in achieving SDGTask type:Teaching, Training and MentorshipTask description:We are seeking 25 online volunteers with a wealth of experience in writing. Writing scientific & non scientific Articless to adress Global issues. Articles on Human rights and sustainable development activities are part of the spectrum that we emphasise.The true-talk project empowers youth to write articles and air out their word to the public.You will be required to Write about 1 simple structured Article per week on the selected topics of your choice from the list we shall provide. An article of about 3- 5 Pages.
This will be submited to our Editor team for Review and publication.The online volunteer will not request any funding on behalf of our organizationRequirements:University student in second or higher Year of Study.
Fresh Graduate.
Ability to use Microsoft Word and Referencing Skills.
Research Methods skills.
Master students.
Trainer candidates are highly encouraged.Work Hours: 1 – 5 hours per week
