What is the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to perform an important role in the management of the Group’s balance sheet, and to support the Group in delivering its strategic objectives.
You will report directly to the Head of Wholesale Funding and Collateral, and will gain experience across all aspects of treasury, including the opportunity to engage with and influence senior colleagues.
In the role you will
Have ownership and ongoing management of a number of the Group’s collateral programmes and provide support and cover for other programmes managed by the team.
Take a leading role in assessing and developing desk processes and procedures ensuring accurate and timely reporting in respect to MIS, process documentation etc.
Provide support for the delivery of the Group’s annual ILAAP and Recovery Plan submissions to the ECB.
Assist desk head in the execution of new transactions including any public and/or bespoke transactions.
Respond to a dynamic and ever-changing market and regulatory environment, ensuring existing programmes are managed accordingly.
Assist and support ad-hoc projects across the Group Treasury team.
Fully adhere to the management and reporting of Conduct risks (including Wholesale Market Conduct Risk), record keeping, escalation and feedback channels set out under the Group Conduct Risk Framework, as appropriate.
What will make you stand out
Demonstrate experience in or a natural curiosity of financial markets and an understanding of Bank’s balance sheets and treasury management.
You have great ability to manage risk and can show evidence of challenging status quo to make processes more efficient.
Ability to work to tight timeframes.
Excellent numeric ability and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail are crucial!
You have brilliant judgement and business instinct with strong personal and professional integrity.

More about the team
The Group Treasury function (encompassing Treasury, Group Planning Analysis and Commercial Decisioning, and the Office of the CFO) is part of the Group Finance division with responsibility for inter alia: providing top-down control with respect to capital management including capital analytics and RWA oversight; asset and liability management; funding and liquidity including liquid assets; wholesale issuance, capital structuring and execution; balance sheet hedging and structural risk; recovery and resolution planning; and strategic financial planning, including oversight and monitoring.
Our team manages the Group’s secured funding/ securitisation (“collateral”) transactions ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and reporting obligations. We support the successful delivery of any new transactions by effectively addressing all collateral related inputs or requirements.
This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration -exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
