TfGM has an exciting opportunity for a talented Commercial Assistant to join our Commercial team. As a Commercial Assistant, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of projects and programme’s by supporting with contract management activities across the lifecycle of multiple contracts. In this role you will support with contract administration predominantly related to NEC Contracts, as well as having the opportunity to get involved with exciting developments in relation to Manchester!

Who are we?
Projects Group is a matrixed team within TfGM which is both expanding and changing to meet the requirements of Greater Manchester and the public. As well as our more traditional transport construction projects and programmes, such as Metrolink, transport interchanges, rail stations, highways and bus priority, we are now delivering a range of emerging priorities from easing congestion, addressing air quality and encouraging more people to cycle and walk.
What you’ll bring
You will have experience in assisting in the production of cost reports with good knowledge of construction contracts including payments, valuations, final accounts, invoicing and procurement. You will have the ability to support in gathering, interpreting and presenting of data to facilitate the preparation of budgets, as well as Commercial and public sector projects delivery experience. You will also have experiences in building and maintaining strong relationship and effective communication with external stakeholders and/or contractors. You will be able to work as part of a team as well, as under your own initiative and under cost or time critical conditions.
Please note to qualify for this role it is essential to have GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 and above.
