Do you excel in providing financial and commercial insights that drive strategic decisions? The Crown Estate is seeking a talented Commercial Finance Manager to support our Group Partner functions, with a special focus on partnering with the Digital Function. This role is pivotal in delivering the tools and reporting necessary to analyse current performance and offer scenario-based forecasting and commercial support.   • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the Chief Digital Officer and Digital leadership team to provide commercial and financial oversight for the Digital Function.
  • Management Reporting: Deliver regular management reporting on all aspects of the cost base, including both capital and operating costs, and project tracking.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Lead quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and two-year planning cycles, incorporating flexible, scenario-based analysis of resource requirements and implications.
  • Business Case Development: Develop value-added analysis and business cases to support key investment decisions, procurement strategies, and long-term value creation.
  • Financial Consolidation: Consolidate summary financial results across Group Partner functions, working alongside FP&A colleagues to deliver insightful analysis for GLT/Board reporting, and innovate communication and reporting styles.
  • Process Improvement: Refresh and streamline financial reporting processes, with an increased focus on materiality, key performance drivers, and associated risks and opportunities.

  • High attention to detail with consideration for wider business implications.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles for technology and data organisations.
  • Collaborative and flexible team player with a dynamic and positive attitude.
  • Confident communicator able to present complex information clearly to non-financial colleagues.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in building robust process foundations.
  • Highly numerate, with extensive experience in modelling and interpreting data; proficiency in Anaplan and/or Power BI is an advantage.
  • High proficiency with Excel and financial systems.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with both financial and non-financial colleagues.

Personal Requirements:

  • Qualifications: ACA/CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in a business partner role with a commercial mindset.
  • Experience in building digital commercial models is an advantage.
  • Track record of developing and implementing effective tools to support business cases, including KPIs and benefits realisation.
