Reach Plc have an excellent opportunity for a Communications and Content Manager to play a key role in Reach’s blended internal and external corporate comms team.
Leading on the creation of compelling content for Reach internal and external channels, with a daily focus on the corporate LinkedIn feed and the company intranet, you will also focus on content around the business’s Sustainability activity (including environmental and Diversity & Inclusion comms) as well as manage the Reach brand and image library.
Working with the internal and external comms team and with a variety of senior stakeholders around the business, you will lead on the creation of powerful content that helps land our messages with impact.

From the Mirror, Daily Express and OK!, to our regional titles such as the Liverpool Echo, MyLondon, Birmingham Live and the Manchester Evening News (plus lots more), our brands and the stories we cover are as varied as our people.
- Lead on researching and creating content for Reach internal and external channels, with a daily focus on the corporate LinkedIn channel and the company intranet. Would also supply content for other key channels including the Annual Report and Reach plc website.
- Lead on creating clear and compelling narrative and content around the business’s Sustainability activity (in particular around environment and Diversity & Inclusion).
- Lead on creating clear and compelling content to support the employer’s brand and talent recruitment activity.
- Manage Reach branding and corporate photography library
- Build and maintain relationships within the business to support rich and well-informed content.
- Participate in shared communications team duties (eg. out of office press office inbox rota)
- Support communications work around critical corporate comms dates e.g. annual results, corporate announcements, corporate issues
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of working in a corporate communications role, either in an internal or external comms capacity.
- Love of media – should have a frequent and varied diet of news outlets and social media channels.
- Excellent writing skills, including the ability to tailor to the audience and to adapt tone/style.
- Ability to clearly brief designers. Some DIY design skills would also be beneficial though not essential.
- Brilliant stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, and gain people’s confidence and buy-in
- Organisational and project management skills, in particular to support the team in working with external design agencies
- Understanding of changing business sensitivities and managing these within content.
- This role is not primarily focused on PR / external media relations though familiarity with media relations and/or issues management comms would be beneficial.
