The Communications and Technology Specialist will work under the leadership of the Director of Marketing & Information Systems (Dir. MIS), to carry out tasks and functions relating to communications and technology throughout the organization. Communications duties will include regular maintenance of channels such as mass email, website, calendar, app, and social media platforms. Technology duties will involve supporting team members’ and property owners’ software and hardware needs. This role extends the impact of the Marketing & Information Systems department across the organization through a positive, helpful, service-oriented demeanor — all the while continuing to solve problems and move projects forward with speed and accuracy.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • In collaboration with the Dir. MIS, review open projects and priorities on a periodic basis to plan a disciplined approach. Be prepared with a solid plan, but be willing to abandon the plan and adjust when emergencies occur.
  • Execute open tasks in a thorough and efficient manner with limited supervision.
  • Serve as the primary moderator of the NeighborLink member communication system.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for technology assistance requests from staff and members. Escalate requests to the Dir. MIS or vendors based on escalation protocols (to be determined).
  • Support hybrid in-person/online meetings (e.g. monthly Board of Directors meetings and quarterly Town Hall meetings) with in-room hardware and live stream experience.
  • Assist Dir. MIS and other SLV Team leaders with document layout and graphic production based on established templates and brand resources.
  • Liaison with SLV Team members and property owner contacts to corral content and details for communications projects managed by the MIS department.
  • Assist with maintenance of communication channels (in person, email, social media, SLVPOA App, etc.) with oversight from the Dir. MIS.
  • Market, promote, and advertise member programs and events through social media, email, newsletters, print collateral, and signage showcased around the club.
  • With assistance and support from the Dir. MIS and other SLV Team leaders, assist with the maintenance of the integrated back-office and website/app calendar.

  • Must be able to drive personal vehicle to facility locations as needed — all miles driven on the job will be reimbursed per company policy.

  • Requires excellent writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels by having advance verbal, writing, and listening skills.

SKILLS & ABILITIESEducation: Must have the ability, skills, and sufficient educational background, normally a Associate’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, business, communications, marketing, and/or actual proven experience.Experience: Two to four years of experience in a technical support, marketing, communications, or customer relations role preferably in one or more of the following areas: community associations, country clubs, resorts and/or hotels events, hospitality, sales, marketing, food and beverage operations, and customer service.Computer Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of desktop and in-browser applications in a Windows environment. Experience with iOS/Android/macOS is a plus.
  • Advanced competency with resolving a variety of end-user computer problems.
  • Ability to write/type quickly and proficiently to document tasks. Experience with creating technical documentation or support processes is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge working with Microsoft 365 and strong technical literacy with the ability to work in multiple systems.
  • Design and digital image editing experience is a plus.
