The Role:

At Euroclear, the role of a Communication Business Partner will be responsible for the development and execution of corporate communications for the Euroclear Group’s audiences i.e. Euroclear UK and International (EUI) and Euroclear SA/NV London Branch (ESA LB).

You will work closely with the UK Head of People, the Communications team and collaborate with the EUI Public Affairs & Regulatory Relations team whilst supporting Euroclear’s Group initiatives. You will also support the people strategy, business priorities and ESG imperatives, whilst supporting EUI’s engagement with policymakers, the Bank of England and the media.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, align, refine, and evolve the EUI communication strategy, plans and messaging to the evolving business and organisations’ needs (both local & from the Group)
  • Lead the content strategy & plan to ensure relevant information, right pacing and the appropriate tone of voice for effective, consistent and coherent communications
  • Define and deliver proactive and strategic leadership communications by promoting internal & external thought leadership for the Chief Executive Officer (and defined actors of the management committee)
  • Deliver compelling communications and participate in group-wide communications campaigns and events to mobilise employees in the entity around Euroclear’s purpose
  • Develop specific local communication initiatives to promote local business and organisational (transformation) including engaging with policy makers and regulators
  • Develop specific campaigns, events, press releases, presentations, posts on all internal and external communications
  • Ensure alignment with the overall communication strategy (branding, uniformity in approach) are aligned with other Euroclear initiatives or projects
  • Lead local crisis communications in close collaboration and alignment with external communications and the crisis team
  • Define, develop and coordinate events (management updates, including townhall meetings and other divisional key meetings)
  • Collaborate with your colleagues in Group to ensure coherence and uniformity in the communication content and media approach
  • Liaise and partner with other divisions and teams, such as HR, marketing, Public Affairs, Regulatory Relations, the change & transformation team (OpEx), Strategy & Transformation, to improve opportunities and to act as One Euroclear
  • Champion the importance of communication and regularly share findings and inspirations within the team

Required Skills:

  • Experience of writing, editing and proofreading skills alongside the ability to source stories from employees
  • You will have good experience with writing press releases or content for different media
  • Experience of communicating & facilitating presentations, adapted to the audience and facilitating in meetings / workshops in a dynamic way
  • Experience in prioritising / coordinating events of different sizes, collaborating with key partners
  • A proven understanding of corporate reputation in a highly regulated environment, knowing how to deal in crisis and have experience with management of press
  • Experience in delivering business transformation communications programmes to all audiences
  • Experience with Sustainability / D&I communications or are willing to learn it
