The SDC has a footprint of approximately 125 countries.UNOPS has signed an agreement with the UN Digital Cooperation Multi-Partner Trust Fund (Administered by UNDP MPTFO) to implement the project activities for the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology.The Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology (OSET) is dedicated to advancing the United Nations’ digital cooperation agenda. OSET leads the implementation of the Secretary-General’s vision on digital cooperation by working closely with various UN entities and multi-stakeholder groups, facilitating dialogue to accelerate global digital cooperation, seizing on the opportunities that are presented by technology – while mitigating the risks – so that progress towards achieving the Goals by 2030 can be accelerated, as well as carrying out other related duties and responsibilities assigned by the Secretary-General. This includes follow-up to the Global Digital Compact (GDC) adopted in September 2024.OSET has a broad stakeholder community, encompassing governments, private sector entities—particularly within the digital economy—civil society organizations, and young people worldwide. This role requires a creative thinker who can consistently identify opportunities, create impactful content, and manage the organization’s online presence across platforms and engagements.Social Media Strategy and Execution:

• Support the development of innovative modern social media strategies, suitable for reaching OSET’s target audiences and using the full scope of available platforms and content formats.
• Manage and execute the organization’s social media presence, ensuring alignment with overall communications goals.
• Transform and establish OSET’s accounts into world-leading voices on technology and digital cooperation space.
• Support all OSET team members in building their social media presence.

Content Development:

• Facilitate content creation and posting, focusing on platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram and other visually compelling posts.
• Support designing and optimizing visual assets for various platforms (e.g., social media, website, mobile, print), ensuring that visuals are tailored to platform-specific requirements and audience preferences.

Monitoring and Reporting:

• Develop monitoring and reporting mechanisms and monitor social media performance metrics, engagement levels, and growth.
• Provide regular performance reports to OSET’s leadership and provide feedback on communications strategies based on insights from analytics.
• Develop and maintain internal/external repositories of communications materials, including articles, speeches, interviews, etc.

• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) preferably in communications, business administration or related areas with zero years of relevant experience or
• A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) preferably in communications, business administration or related areas with 2 years of relevant experience are required.

• Relevant experience is defined as experience in communications, public relations, or media.
• Experience in implementing social media strategies
• Experience working with social media management tools

• Experience in global digital diplomacy is desirable;
• Experience in events management and coordination is desirable;
• Experience using design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc., to create digital content.
