We are excited to create this new role to celebrate Liverpool’s vibrant migrant communities and create a blueprint for a Council that can help newcomers thrive from the day they arrive.Liverpool has a long history of migration from the Chinese, African and Caribbean communities through to modern migration from Ukraine or Afghanistan; the city is a wonderful place to live and work because of the communities who have made it their home. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team and lead on the delivery and development of a communications plan. Ensure that this valuable history of migration, and the value it brings continues to be celebrated, and people are able to access the information they need to live safely and happily in the city.As the Communication Officer you will bring to the role demonstrable experience of delivering effective news management, internal communication, external communication, behaviour change campaigns, reputation risk management and external reputation assessment.Within the role as the Communications Officer you will be delivering high-quality written materials- articles, blogs, news releases and social media copy; and compelling video, graphic assets and podcasts. We want people who can think innovatively about how the Council leads on ensuring that all citizens of the city are supported, celebrated and are able to live together in vibrant and safe neighbourhoods.Our offer to you:
