If so we currently have a band 5 vacancy to work in one of our Special Schools in Cwm Taf Morgannwg.The post holder will provide nursing care to children and young people who have additional/complex needs within a Special School or Observation Unit within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and will work within clearly defined occupational policies, codes of practice and professional guidelines.This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months due to maternity cover. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.Main duties of the jobThe postholder will work within clearly defined occupational policy, codes of practice and professional guidelines and will work as part of the Childrens Community Nursing Team. The post is based in Ysgol Ty Coch and is term time only.The post holder will be responsible for the planning and delivery of training packages within the school and provide ongoing support, training and supervision for a team of health care support workers and learning support assistants. They will also support the Health and MDT clinics held within the school environment.We are looking for someone who is able to work autonomously is motivated, reliable, innovative but also enjoys working as part of a team.Working collaboratively with other agencies is essential so excellent communication skills are required.Comprehensive induction and ongoing training will be provided.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.About usCwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of the NHS Wales family.
