Overview of position

Under the
overall supervision of the CEA Program Coordinator, the direct supervision of
the Senior Program Assistant and the administrative supervision of HSO the
successful candidate will contribute to the following duties.

Role objectives

Core Functions / Deliverables

6.Performance indicators for the evaluation of
results

Deliverable 1: Daily assessment
activities (group consultations or key informant interviews (KIIs) or focus
group discussions (FGDs)) as per assessment tools and CEA operational plans,
completed and transcribed.

01)Time Sheets verified and cleared by CEA PM

02)KII and FGD transcripts or notes from consultation
meetings per templates provided by CEA PM

03)Signed attendance sheets of KII and FGD participants

 

Deliverable 2: Detailed summary
(question by question) of completed and transcribed consultation meetings, FGDs
and KIIs.

01)Time Sheets verified and cleared by CEA PM

02)Written summary of KII and FGD transcriptions
per templates provided by CEA PM; submitted to the supervisor and reviewed by
supervisor

 

Deliverable 3: Outreach meetings with
target community members to inform about IOM programs and activities and raise
awareness about community feedback mechanisms.

 Outreach
meeting notes with photos per templates provided by CEA PM

Signed
attendance sheets of meeting participants

Required
Qualifications and Experience

Education

High
school diploma / Certificate with a minimum of two years of relevant experience
in Community Engagement, Community Mobilization, working with Community Leaders
and other community members.

Demonstrated
experience in conducting interviews, administering questionnaires and/or registering
a person with neutrality, empathy, and professionalism.

 

Experience

·Experience working in either of the
two target locations (i.e. Mihtarlam District, Laghman province; Surkh
Rod district, Nangarhar province), or other nearby locations in the same
provinces

that you are applying for.

·Experience in conducting community
outreach, household assessments or surveys.

·Previous experience in working with
or liaising with UN agencies and NGOs is an advantage

·Ability to work effectively and
harmoniously in a team and in the inter-agency context with colleagues from
varied cultures and professional backgrounds.

·Experience with mobile data
collection technologies, including KoBo or Open Data Kit (ODK) applications, is
an advantage.

Skills:

·Good Communication Skills

·Good Negotiation Skills

·Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft
Office products: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are an advantage.

·Familiarity with mobile data
collection technologies is an advantage.

Languages

  • For
    all Applicants, fluency in English is required (oral and written). 
  • Working
    knowledge of Pashto or Dari is required.
  • Fluency
    in all national language(s) are highly advantages.
