We are seeking to recruit a part-time Community Outreach Worker for the Department of Sexual Health based at Beckenham Beacon Hospital. Previous experience of working in a sexual health, family planning and/or Public health would be advantageous.The post holder will be required to take a flexible approach to days/hours worked and actively participate in changes to planned rota to ensure that service has appropriate outreach cover for community-based sites and clinics where appropriate.Main duties of the jobThe main duties of the role isto deliver a sexual health outreach service for at-risk groups in the community in the London Borough of Bromley.The post holder is require to work in a variety of settings including clinic and non-clinical outreach venues such as schools, colleges, hostels, youth clubs and campaign venuesAbout usKing’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching Trusts with a turnover of £1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 15,000 staff based across South East London.   • Able to assess and discuss risks with patients and refer appropriately, e.g. risk of CSE/risk behaviour
  • Demonstrable skills for deciding appropriate course of action e.g. what services are most appropriate to refer patients
  • Ability to drive and travel across site to outreach locations across the Borough of Bromley
  • Ability to work flexible hours according to the need of the role including evenings and weekends, when required
