DescriptionOur Vancouver based multinational client is seeking a Compensation Accountant for a 1-year contract.**Hourly rate ranging from $35-45/HR + Completion Bonus**Benefits:

As a Compensation Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing accurate accounting, reporting, and analysis of all payroll and benefits related expenses for multinational payrolls.Responsibilities include:
- Review and process payroll journal entries
- Prepare adjusting entries and GAAP accrual entries for multinational payrolls.
- Prepare funding for company benefit plans including group Pension/401K plans.
- Reconcile payroll liability accounts including group insurance premiums, wage attachments, payroll withholdings and employer taxes.
- Prepare monthly reporting package including support schedules for payroll liabilities, accrued salaries, vacation, and bonuses payable.
- Prepare daily bank reconciliation of all payroll-related receipts and disbursements.
- Assist with year-end reporting requirements and financial statement preparation.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Privacy legislation
Successful Candidate:
- CPA designation (or in progress) and Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 2+ years accounting experience within a large organization
- Advanced MS Excel and experience with large volume data analysis
- Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly
Expected salary
$35 – 45 per hour
