As an F-16 Build Team Supervisor for the weekend shift (Fri-Sun) at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, you will lead the manufacturing of critical F-16 structural components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer satisfaction. This role requires effective management of safety, quality, schedule, and cost while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Leading a team of production leads and technicians, you will drive results and ensure operational excellence during weekend shifts.Key Responsibilities
– Manage technical proficiency levels and ensure a trained, qualified workforce for weekend shift manufacturing of major F-16 structural components, including Forward and/or Center Fuselages.– Oversee all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, cost, resources, logistics/production control, equipment, and process/procedure during weekend shifts.– Develop strategies to handle out-of-station work and prevent disruptions to normal production flow, ensuring operational continuity.– Supervise the production build process for F-16 Block 70, including various structural sub-assembly components and forward fuselage cockpit structure.– Recognize and reward superior individual performance while addressing poor performance issues effectively.-Create a culture of accountability, trust, and compliance with company policies and procedures among the weekend shift team.What’s In It For You:

Basic QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience in Aviation Production or Maintenance, Modification, Repair and Overhaul (MMRO) Operations.Experience leading a team to meet critical schedules, resolve complex and/or time sensitive technical or operational issues.Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.Experience interacting with internal/external customers.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Desired skillsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited collegeAbility to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments.Previously awarded an Air Force, Marine, or Navy 7 level discipline skill level rating or possess equivalent civilian experience with associated credential such as an licensed FAA “Airframe and Power” plant or Inspector Airframe license.Previous experience in aviation structural repair or manufacturing associated with drill, ream, and countersink knowledge – skill – and abilities.Ability to create and utilize metrics related to performance.Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.Demonstrated ability to create, monitor and report on all executive operations metrics.Experience in Lean Manufacturing or processes.VirtualnoZip29605EEOLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
