Learning Support Assistant for High Needs SEND School (Full-Time)Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for helping children with severe and complex needs? We’re looking for a dedicated, compassionate individual to join our high-needs SEND school in the New Forest, supporting children who require significant care and guidance in their learning journey.Role: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant
Location: New Forest
Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour (National Living Wage)
Contract: Initially through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to transition to a school contract after a successful probation period.About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work with pupils with a range of profound and complex needs, including but not limited to:
- Severe learning disabilities and physical disabilities
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Down syndrome
- Communication difficulties, sensory impairments, and medical needs
You’ll support students with individualized learning activities, personal care, and therapeutic interventions, ensuring they can access a nurturing and inclusive environment.Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with complex needs, including managing challenging behaviour.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Commitment to full-time hours with flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of each child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
