As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our team and help ensure our adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.Job Overview:The Compliance Officer will play a critical role in identifying, investigating, and mitigating fraud risks within our contact centre operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple compliance projects alongside with the Compliance Manager, developing and implementing compliance policies, conducting thorough audits, investigations, and working closely with various departments to ensure our organisations meets all regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Fraud Prevention and Detection:

  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent, detect, and investigate fraud within Ventrica.
  • Monitor transactions and activities for signs of fraudulent activity.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of suspected fraud cases, gather evidence, and document findings.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and regulatory bodies as needed during investigations.

Compliance Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including data protection laws (e.g., GDPR), financial regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop, update, and enforce compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the contact centre industry.

Training and Awareness:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff on fraud prevention, detection, and compliance requirements.
  • Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour within the contact centre.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare detailed reports on fraud investigations, compliance audits, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all compliance-related activities.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other departments, including Operations, Legal, IT, and HR, to ensure integrated and cohesive compliance efforts.
  • Act as the main point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a fraud prevention, compliance, or similar role, preferably within a contact centre or financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Previous experience in compliance and risk management is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and quality management.
  • Proven experience in audits and ensuring compliance with ISO27001, 9001, 22301 and Cyber Essentials plus standards.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Expected salary

£40000 – 45000 per year
