TheContext:The assignment is online. The online volunteer will report directly to the Inter-agency Coordination Specialist who will guide priorities. The incumbent will gain knowledge about UN Women’s UN System Coordination Mandate, priorities and work with UNCTs.The UNCT Team within UN Women’s Coordination Division oversees the following areas of work:

  • Implementing system-wide accountability frameworks and tools on gender mainstreaming, the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard, and the UNCT Gender Equality Marker (GEM);
  • Overseeing corporate processes that are at the core of UN Women’s priorities such as the QCPR monitoring and SG reporting;
  • Supporting the reporting on the implementation of the UNDS reform and engagements with UNSDG;
  • Positioning UN Women at the heart of the UN system in the field and enhancing the gender architecture and accountability towards gender equality of the UN System in countries.

Task type:Gender EqualityTask description:Conduct data analysis for the UNCT Team within UN Women’s Coordination Division on trends related to the performance ratings of UNCTs reflected in the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard (UNCT-SWAP) reports.The duration is 12 weeks (20 hours per week). The products that will be produced will include trend analysis documents in the form of: 1) one ppt of up to 15 slides (including approximately 6 graphs to summarize performance trends ); 2) A summary in the form of a brief of up to 40 pages following UN Women’s templates for policy briefs (in word and pdf).Requirements:Education:

  • You must be enrolled in a master’s, post-master’s, or doctorate programme or have completed any of these.
