Key Responsibilities: Develop and lead the Group Sustainability Strategy to align with the organization’s mission and values, focusing on transformative change. Partner with procurement and commercial teams to drive sustainability innovation by researching and adopting cutting-edge technologies, practices, and strategies that elevate our environmental and social impact. Collaborate across departments to uncover sustainability opportunities, implement initiatives, and significantly reduce our environmental footprint. Oversee sustainability metrics such as energy use, waste reduction, and greenhouse gas emissions, in partnership with the Sustainability Compliance Officer, ensuring measurable progress. Lead the pursuit and maintenance of sustainability certifications and accreditations, elevating the organization’s standing in the industry. Act as a sustainability ambassador, engaging employees, customers, suppliers, and communities to foster impactful partnerships and promote sustainable practices. Work closely with marketing and communications teams to design campaigns that inspire both internal and external stakeholders to embrace sustainability. Build a culture of sustainability by leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, embedding sustainability into decision-making processes across the organization. Inspire innovation and collaboration, ensuring all employees feel empowered to contribute to sustainability goals. Stay at the forefront of industry trends, regulations, and best practices, proactively ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement. Manage sustainability budgets, performing cost analysis and forecasting to ensure financial feasibility of initiatives. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Qualifications and Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, or business administration (master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with proven experience in driving sustainability initiatives and organizational transformation. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance, and sustainability reporting frameworks. Familiarity with net-zero principles, the circular economy, and sustainability certifications (e.g., Certified Sustainability Professional).
