Construction Technician Role – Northamptonshire
Think FE is delighted to present a unique opportunity for a Construction Technician to join the team at a leading college in Northamptonshire. This role is ideally suited for individuals with a passion for construction and a particular interest or background in Carpentry.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours weekly, across 38 working weeks annually.
Location: Based in the rural heart of Northamptonshire.
Salary: £17911 per annum
What will you be doing?
- Daily support in the construction area and its facilities.
- Ordering materials and resources to ensure operational efficiency.
- Upholding health and safety standards.
- Preparing construction workshops for practical teaching sessions.
- Maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Assisting students with practical activities under faculty supervision.
- Ensuring the Construction Workshops are maintained to college standards.
What s on offer?
- 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays).
- A generous pension contribution of 23%
- FTE Salary is 21,660, pro rata to 17,911 do to term time only contract
- working Term time only (37.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year).
What do you need?
- A minimum of Grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
- Experience within the construction crafts or building services sector, with a preference for those with Carpentry experience.
- You will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check including Child barred list before you can start your new role.
