As a Consultant, Procurement, you will be responsible for supporting the Telecom/Network Vendor Governance tower, including the management of CIBC’s telecom voice and mobility services expenses form our key vendor partners to identify cost avoidance/costing savings and process optimization opportunities, manage expense planning and forecasting, and to support current telecom billing and reporting requirements in Excel/Tableau while upholding vendor governance obligations.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Work with internal business partners and external suppliers to ensure appropriate procurement of telecom services. Validate expenses to ensure accuracy and completeness, performing follow-ups with stakeholders and suppliers as required. Adhere to CIBC guidelines and follow team processes to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner.Vendor Governance. Work with our vendors to manage contractual obligations and participate in vendor meetings on a regular basis.Reporting. Prepare expense analysis reports and dashboard reporting for senior leadership. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting using SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and other technology platforms.Analytical & Tech Savvy. You understand various technologies and tools including telecom expense management (TEM). You will provide oversight of the TEM tool and act as the subject matter expert to ensure the validation and reconciliation of our telecom billing and inventory. You can effectively articulate issues / recommendations via your analyses. You are skillful using Microsoft’s suite of products.Who you areYou are a seasoned professional. You have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in general finance, accounting, accounts payable or any other similar capacity preferably working with Telco vendors. You also have experience in Relationship Management with an ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers.You have excellent analytical and problem solving skills. You have strong knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems.You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way. Working knowledge of big data analytical tools (e.g. Alteryx) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) will be considered an asset.You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. You can analyze and manipulate large datasets by utilizing advanced excel functions and complex formulas to support data-driven decision-making.
