Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat You’ll Be DoingAs a Consultant, RFx Procurement you will be part of a small team who provides exceptional and consistent practices to sourcing and contracting services by utilizing disciplined governance to enable CIBC to effectively execute against its business priorities. Work closely with sourcing category experts and sourcing deal leads to support the delivery of the strategic sourcing process. As the Consultant for RFx engagements you will manage and facilitate the execution of the RFx process to ensure that procurement provides timely support to the business needs for RFx events (proposals, information, quotations, solutions) from existing and potential suppliers. The Consultant will prepare and manage RFx documentation by gathering data from various stakeholders and resources. Assist with the analysis of potential risks at the category level and development of appropriate mitigation strategies. Manage the evaluation of RFx responses against a set of pre-defined criteria, including managing internal evaluators, the delivery and facilitation of consensus meetings. Provide advisory services to the LoB stakeholders and category managers on alternative approaches to RFx and leading practices that support the RFx process.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Focus on each client experience and make every interaction meaningful. Establish and maintain healthy working relationships with business partners, suppliers, and peers. Develops trusted adviser relationships and provide leadership and valued consulting advice to facilitate the effective management and completion of procurement initiatives. Align procurement solutions with their business objectives.Problem Solving – Listen, ask questions, and put yourself in the client’s shoes. Act like an owner by taking accountability for client issues, and know when to collaborate with others to build a better solution together.Manage Multiple Priorities – Use effective self-management practices to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.Who You AreYou can demonstrate experience in. Managing and facilitating the execution of the RFx process with a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and/or supplier processes, practices, tools and templates and principles of formal sourcing processes, and ability to apply to various categories / circumstances. You maximize efficiencies, processes and systems across Corporate Services to meet CIBC business goals. You have strong self-planning skills sufficient to plan own assignments according to general work plans; ability to multi-task, plan and meet timelines. You have experience developing and drafting business requirements. You have experience delivering and managing the execution of RFx events. You have experience or exposure to managing multiple projects simultaneously including timelines and are able to prioritize your work effort. You have experience or exposure to developing strategy and converting it into an implementation plan to meet procurement objectives. You have strong written and oral communication, influencing and negotiating skills sufficient to support the decision-making process and ability to pivot with urgency and demands on matters related to RFx events.You’re passionate about people.
