At a GlanceBDS is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing individual to join our market research team as a Consumer Intercept Interviewer. You will play a crucial part in gathering valuable consumer insights by conducting on-site interviews at various restaurants and retail locations within Newark Liberty International Airport. This is a temporary, part-time opportunity for up to 11 total 4–6-hour shifts. You will need to visit the airport 2-3 times to go through a thorough background and screening process which will include fingerprinting. WHAT YOU’LL DOConduct Consumer Interviews:

  • Approach and engage with airport travelers at designated locations
  • Professionally and courteously explain the purpose of the interview
  • Administer surveys to willing participants, ensuring accurate and complete data collection
  • Actively listen to consumer feedback, address any questions or concerns, and maintain a positive and engaging interview atmosphere

Data Entry:

  • Accurately and efficiently enter collected data into the designated survey platform using a smart phone or tablet
  • Maintain careful records of all interviews conducted

Shift Coverage:

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, to meet program requirements
  • Work a total of 11 shifts within a 30-day period, each shift lasting between 4-6 hours

Represent BDS Solutions:

  • Maintain a professional and positive image of BDS Connected Solutions and our client at all times
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

WHAT YOU’LL BRINGExperience and Education:

  • Experience in market research, survey administration, or customer service
  • Experience working in an airport environment highly preferred
  • Proficiency in a second language (preferred but not required)

Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals
  • Interpersonal Skills: Outgoing, friendly, and approachable personality with the ability to build rapport quickly with consumers
  • Data Entry & Technology Proficiency: Accuracy and speed in data entry using a smart phone or tablet device are essential, with the ability to download and use apps on these devices
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to ensure data accuracy
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive and engaging experience for all participants
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Availability: Must be available to work 11 shifts within a 30-day period, with shifts ranging from 4-6 hours
