Consumer Research Manager
London – Hybrid (40% office based)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Consumer Research Manager, to join our business in an exciting period of growth and ambition – to be the UK’s most loved retirement specialist. With this ambition, we need to develop propositions, products and services that meet our consumers current and future needs. This role will play a key role within our Customer Strategy function, to drive and lead on all primary consumer research.
Reporting into the Head of Customer Strategy you will drive primary research (both qualitative and quantitative) as well as manage third parties / agencies to consolidate, maintain and evolve these insight and findings to make a rich research library that helps us drive effective consumer oriented decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mixed-method research and evaluation projects from beginning to the end, including proposals, research methodology design, operational execution and analysis and reporting.
Design research proposals using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods and data sources, both online and face-to-face.
Develop data collection tools, such as questionnaires, discussion guides, interview guides, sampling and recruitment plans.
Carry out analysis and triangulation of qualitative and quantitative data, primary and secondary sources to provide actionable insights.
Manage third parties and agencies where required.
Consolidate insights and findings across research projects into something that is usable and valuable to the wider team.
Influence teams across Just to act based on research findings.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the company’s consumer research methodologies.
Be a trusted and credible source of consumer understanding and insight for various stakeholders around the business.
Skills and Experience:
Experience of working within a consumer research or insight based role with both qualitative and quantitative expertise
Entrepreneurial and proactive attitude towards identifying new opportunities
Comfortable to lead mixed methodology projects
Strong quantitative analysis skills (with experience using SPSS, R or Stata).
Experience using participatory techniques, such as co-creation, ethnographies, human-centred design (HCD), participatory action research (PAR) and others.
Comfortable to lead mixed methodology projects
Good communication skills including experience presenting research findings
A strong work ethic with ability to stick to deadlines is essential.
