This might be the role for you.Following Reuters’ acquisition of World Business Media, we’re looking for a Content Editor to join The Insurer in London. In this role, you’ll play a key role in building out The Insurer’s commercially driven, market-leading multimedia platform and selection of sponsored content opportunities.Reuters has acquired World Business Media Limited, a cross-platform, subscription-based provider of editorial coverage for the (re)insurance industry. This acquisition is in line with Reuters strategic priority to provide must-have news and insight for new customer markets and professional verticals. Our editorial team provides must-have content and insight for global professionals working within the global (re)insurance and specialty markets.Our products include The Insurer, the go-to and digital source for news, analysis and data on the (re)insurance industry and The Insurer TV, which brings exclusive insight and intelligence on the market through video interviews, panel discussions and mini docuseries. Through our events business, The Insurer Events, we provide networking opportunities through a global series of events, conferences and awards ceremoniesWe are looking for an ambitious feature writer and broadcast editor with a keen interest in video content to join as a Content Editor help grow our B2B portfolio. Working closely with The Insurer’s Commercial Director, you’ll help devise and explore new concepts, create compelling content plans and deliver cutting-edge, thought-provoking and intelligent insights for our audience – the global P&C and specialty (re)insurance industry – whilst helping our partners achieve their goals.About the RoleAs Content Editor for The Insurer, you will:Create new and develop current product initiatives in both written and video form to reinforce the client’s visibility in a competitive marketContribute to interview and content direction across our commercial video platform – https://www.theinsurer.com/tvProduce written interviews with our commercial partners for our sister titlesWork closely with in house and external production teams.Attend and present at events.Liaise with senior market individuals and build strong relationships to deliver key projects with stakeholders in the insurance and reinsurance industry.Undertake market research projets to unearth and and deliver new opportunities.Coordinate with the internal marketing team and collaborate with the commercial team to support client activities.About YouTo be our Content Editor, you will likely have:A keen interest in broadcast/video content and the production that sits behind this.A demonstrable ability to research complex industry topics.Demonstrable experience of writing from within the financial services industry (reinsurance/insurance market useful, but not essential).Event hosting experience (webinar, round-table, conference session etc).the ability to pitch new ideas to the team when you spot a new commercial opportunity.A creative mindset, with a track record of accuracy and paying attention to finer details.The ability to work collaboratively and to tight deadlines, whilst fostering great working relationships with colleagues and clients alike.Please note, the deadline for applications is 23:59 (BST) on 21st June 2024.
