Job description
· Conduct financial analysis, monthly general ledger (GL) review, and prepare various periodical reports.· Prepare and analyze a wide range of monthly reports including financial statements and related notes for review by the management.· Prepare monthly and annual regulatory reports to Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) including underlying schedules.· Create reports in c-view and Lodestar and reconcile with relevant GLs.· Prepare month-end journal entries and accruals including amortization of assets.· Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations.· Oversee accounts payable ensuring internal control and company standards are maintained and improved where necessary.· Produce daily liquidity and foreign exchange balance reports.· Reconcile registered products record with Central 1.· Monitor credit unions’ current accounts on daily basis; analyze and explain major movements.· Record foreign exchange and SWAP transactions.· Prepare other reports for management’s review as assigned.· Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to direct reports.· Assist CFO with organizing work activities of the team.· In the absence of CFO, ensure smooth, day-to-day operation of the finance/accounting department.· Identify opportunities for process improvement. Streamline processes, improve productivity, and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.· Prepare documentation for interim and year-end audits.– Similar experience from a financial services institution
– FSRA or OSFII regulatory reporting experience
