Job #4684 – Terrific opportunity to join a well-established, independent financial services provider as their Financial Controller on a full-time, permanent basis! Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for providing full-cycle accounting support from A-Z. This includes managing the day-to-day accounting operations, while also providing the leadership team with timely reporting and insight into factors impacting growth and profitability. You will be considered a hands-on, “roll-up your sleeves” Controller who enjoys having variety in their day-to-day responsibilities. Additional duties include:
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Preparation of budget and oversight
- Management of payroll and benefits
- Bank reconciliations
- Record monthly commission revenue and application of the variable compensation plan
- Payment of all bills and expenses
- Provide updates to CFO on progress toward annual business plans
- Preparation of year-end documents and closing of accounting system at year-end
- Manage tax related activities such as HST/PST filing and tax installments

Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Post-secondary education in accounting and/or finance required
- Completed CPA designation or in process considered an asset
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous Sage 50 experience considered an asset
- Proficiency in Excel
Compensation, Perks & Opportunities:
