Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Controller to join our client within the marine services industry. This exciting role offers full remote capacity, with the expectation of occasional travel to Bermuda throughout the year. While the role is remote, the successful candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Halifax to accommodate any in-person meetings or requirements as needed.Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Full cycle accounting
- Financial statements, ledgers, schedules, reporting
- Cashflow forecasting and analysis
- Bank reconciliations and analysis
- Month-end and year-end close
- Costing and inventory related projects
Skills & Attributes for Success:
- Post secondary education in accounting r finance
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation is an asset, but not required
- 5+ years relevant accounting experience with some prior experience within a project and/or costing environment
- Previous experience working within USD currency is a definite asset
- Professional, concise, and adaptable communication skills
- Open minded and flexible approach with a hands-on approach
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
