Job Description:Our client a Tier 1 manufacturer is looking to hire a Controller! This is an in office role.Responsibilities of the Controller are the following but not limited to:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting needs of the business
• Oversee month end close process and ensue timely and accurate reporting of monthly results while providing accurate and insightful analysis and explanation
• Develop insightful and accurate profitability analysis
• Oversee inventory processes and implement monthly variance reporting
• Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financials
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and analysis
• Intercompany account reconciliations with multiple currencies
• Manage any external financial audits
• Supervise and lead the accounting team
• Management of leases, bank accounts, wire transfers, FX trades/contracts
• Budget preparation and analysis
• Any other financial duties related to the organization as assigned by the CEO or designate
• Complying with all organizations policies and procedures, as instituted by the Board of Directors
• Serving the organization at all times with loyalty and honesty, in its best interests and ensuring that the highest standard of professionalism and ethics are maintained at all times and in compliance with all applicable laws and policies

TMGMSJob Requirements:

• Designated finance professional: CPA (Canada) is required
• A university degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience in an Accounting/Finance role
• 5+ years of experience in leading teams and financial management
• Demonstrate experience in overall corporate accounting activities (AR, AP, tax, etc.) and preparation of corporate financial reports
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Federal and Provincial Accounting and tax rules and regulations
• Implementation and Strategy Experience
• Knowledge of USA accounting and taxation is an asset

Expected salary

$115000 – 125000 per year
