We’re modernizing and scaling our operations and are committed to enhancing our finance team to support this evolution. We are seeking a Financial Controller to bring clarity and precision to our financial operations.Role Overview:As the Financial Controller, reporting jointly to the CFO of Eastbay and the VP of Operations at our venture capital partner, you will establish, optimize, and manage financial processes during this exciting period of growth. This role is critical for establishing financial discipline, strengthening cash flow management, and refining forecasting processes.Key Responsibilities:Lead timely preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards.Streamline the month-end close process, including accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.Supervise general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Coordinate the year-end audit process and address queries.Partner with the CFO to identify and implement process enhancements across the finance function.Establish and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure reporting integrity.Maintain comprehensive documentation of accounting processes, controls, and policies.Play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.Collaborate with department heads to align financial planning with operational objectives.Analyze financial performance and provide insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.Manage day-to-day cash flow, including funding requirements and forecasts.Ensure compliance with financial covenants and regulations.Qualifications:CPA designation required.10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.Strong practical experience in developing financial reporting and controls.Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with QuickBooks (preferred).Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Previous experience in the IT services or technology industries is highly preferred.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.Why Join Us?Growing Team: Play a key role in shaping the financial future of a leading IT services company.Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a talented leadership team, supporting growth and improving financial governance.Career Development: Significant potential for career growth and advancement within a forward-thinking company.Competitive Compensation: Attractive salary and benefits package designed to reward your expertise and commitment.If you are an experienced financial leader with a passion for driving results and creating order in a growing organization, we want to hear from you.
