This role is hybrid and requires 2 days/week onsite.Role OverviewWe are looking for a Controller to oversee the financial and accounting functions of our client’s growing organization. Reporting directly to the President, you will serve as a strategic partner, ensuring financial excellence in planning, reporting, risk management, and compliance. - Present complex financial information clearly and concisely to all stakeholders.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in financial activities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial projections and key performance indicators.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), tax regulations, and governance policies.
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to the Founder, board of directors, lenders, and stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with lenders, investors, and other financial institutions.
- Optimize the company’s capital structure and financing strategies to support growth initiatives.
- Lead cross-departmental communication and promote corporate values to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Identify trends in key financial performance metrics and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and implement risk management policies to protect financial interests.

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA designation required.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Industry experience in real estate development or construction is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
- Proven leadership ability to mentor and manage a high-performing finance team.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and effectively present to diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and the MS Office Suite (especially Excel).

$100000 – 130000 per year
