Kforce’s client, a prestigious nonprofit headquartered in New York, NY, is seeking a Controller. This is a nonprofit founded and supported by 1 of the world’s wealthiest and most prominent families. Funding is extremely stable, with an extremely low percentage coming from federal government sources. If you are looking for a great mission and a very stable organization, this is a great job! Duties will include:
- Manage a 10-15-person accounting team
- Month end close
- Financial reporting
- Financial management of grants and donations
- Internal controls
- Support internal and external audits
- Treasury
- Tax filings
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA or CA
- Controller experience
- Nonprofit or NGO experience
- Experience in an international organization
- Advanced degree a plus
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Big 4 experience a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
