Beyond the perks that come with working for the area’s leading community healthcare provider we offer competitive wages, benefits, and skill development.Shifts: 11:30 am to 7:30 pm 5 on 2 offResponsibilities:
- Set up equipment and supplies for food prep
- Clean dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery according to established culinary procedures
- Monitor and record temperature of the dish machine and report all deficiencies to Executive Chef
- Ensure the correct use of dish washing chemicals
- Assist in food prep as assigned by Cook, Head Chef, or Executive Chef
- Monitor quality of food supplies received and advise Exec. Chef of problems or concerns
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and equipment used.
- Restocking of work area and ensure proper stock rotation is maintained
- Complete required food safety and production logs
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times
- Assist in the orientation and training of new team members
- Attend in-service meetings and training as required
Qualifications:
- Grade 10 minimum education is preferred
- A valid Food Safe certificate
- WHIMIS certificate
- Must complete screening for TB
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Record Check
