You’ll find career opportunities that live up to your ambitions and be able to further develop your unique set of skills.So, if you’re looking to do what you love, we could be a perfect match.Our expectationsReporting to the Transportation Manager, the main function of the Transportation Coordinator will be to coordinate and execute the automated carrier payment process using the Transportation Management System (TMS) for the Quebec and Ontario distribution centers. The successful candidate will also support the planning and tracking of RONA Canada’s customer and supplier delivery and pick-up activities, as well as transfer requests. Finally, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.The Role

  • Participate in the improvement of quality and processes in the use of the transport management system.
  • Liaise with transport teams and carriers regarding Freight Pay issues and rejected invoices to identify causes and coordinate resolutions.
  • Create reports and tools to track carrier performance indicators, and monitor them on a weekly basis
  • Understand and support the route planning process for Eastern Canada (Quebec and Ontario) pickups using a transportation management system.
  • Understand and support LBM’s route planning process
  • Inform customers, suppliers and carriers on transportation procedures
  • Provide service to RONA customers and suppliers
  • Work closely with supply chain, distribution centers and various carriers
  • Liaise between transport group, carriers and DC for proper equipment selection
  • Manage load prioritization, trailer overflows and add-ons

The skills we’re looking for

  • College diploma in business administration or transportation and logistics
  • Knowledge and mastery of Microsoft Office suite and advanced Excel
  • Three years’ relevant experience in transportation
  • Experience with transportation management systems (an asset)
  • Proficiency in Canadian geography
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders from all backgrounds
  • Ability to solve operational problems
  • Dynamic and results-oriented attitude
  • Team spirit
  • Good logistical problem-solving skills
  • Schedule may vary according to the need for operational replacements
  • Ability to work under pressure and in an environment of frequent change
  • Experience in customer service
  • Fluent in French, all our coporative office associates must be proeficient in French.
