Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who will be working alongside the Human Resources Team. Directly reporting to HR Manager, the HR Coordinator supports and coordinates administration of daily HR and payroll activities; champions the HR filing and administration, acts as HR contact for the company and is responsible for maintaining detailed employee data and records in accordance with local law and Marriott International policies and procedures.

This role serves as an ambassador of the HR department by being the first face employees see and ensures the accurate collection and maintenance of confidential employee information.

HR Coordinator Key responsibilities

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Assist and support the day-to-day operations with handling all administrative inquires and follow ups of the HR department;
  • Assist employees with accessing their employment login portal and support them with the benefit program inquiries;
  • As the front facing member of our HR Team, support in responding to questions, requests, and concerns from employees regarding company and Human Resources programs, partnering with the Human Resources Manager;
  • Provide support in the administration and onboarding of newly employees, entering data into our payroll and HRIS platforms, creating employee ID cards, welcome gifts, sending communication the communication out to the respective departments to coordinate the orientation, conducting hotel tours, processing benefits enrollment, as well as for any terminations.
  • Manage all employee files, ensuring they are up to date and accurate; and maintain confidentiality and security of employee and property records, files, and information; reporting in the HRIS systems;
  • Support the payroll in processing and maintaining of payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures; back up payroll in processing and verifying bi-weekly payroll reports and replace payroll coordinator during vacation or absence;
  • Inform Human Resources Management of issues related to employee relations;
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette;
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees;
  • Coordinate exit interviews process;
  • Provide support in screening calls and scheduling the interviews for the hiring managers if needed; (provide support to HR team and hiring Manager with recruitment process. This includes but is not limited to screening candidates and scheduling interviews).
  • Perform all other administrative duties or special projects, as required

Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintain harmonious and professional relationships with all departments;
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language;
  • High level of adaptability and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment;
  • Meticulous attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Previous experience with ADP Workforce and PGI is an asset;
  • The highest level of integrity and transparency;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with multifunctional teams;
  • Experience in a hospitality organization is an asset;

Education:

  • University degree – specializing in human resources, industrial relations, administration, finance or related field

Experience:

  • A minimum 1 to 3 years in a similar position.
