- Prepares intercompany billings and payables between all PCL companies.
- Prepares monthly bank and clearing accounts reconciliations.
- Assists with corporate accounts payables and receivables processes.
- Liases between districts and banks to resolve bank issues.
- Troubleshoots vendor payments, intercompany billings and bank queries.
- Performs year-end procedures as assigned.
- Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
- Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with key stakeholders and all decision makers.
- Values, models, and coaches the solution provider and profitability culture.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary diploma / degree in a related discipline preferred.
- 2 years of progressive experience in related field preferred
- Basic understanding of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles).
- Understands and comprehends relevant government legislation and PCL policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of construction industry; understands general construction terms.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrix organization.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
- Proven critical thinking skills.
- Basic business acumen and understanding of industry practices and new developments.
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable systems.
