Our Group Tax Manager is looking to further expand the Tax function with a new Tax Associate. This role demonstrates the next stage of expansion for the tax team and the selected candidate will be key to managing the ongoing tax requirements for the Group. This is a full time role based at our office in Manchester on a hybrid home and office-based basis, with requirements to work at our head office in Helsby once/twice a month.

You will be part of a growing tax team, reporting directly to the Group Tax Manager. You will have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders across the business and gain exposure/experience across various sectors within the RSK Group, predominately focused on the UK.

The role will focus predominantly on UK corporate taxes, however there will be an expectation that assistance will be provided across other UK taxes, such as VAT and employment taxes, where required. Experience in these areas is preferable but not required.

Responsibilities include:

Corporation tax –

  • Support and manage the UK tax compliance process in conjunction with local finance teams and external advisors
  • Support with UK GAAP tax reporting for both consolidated and statutory filings
  • Assist with the calculation and management of quarterly instalment payments

UK tax advisory –

  • Assist the senior leadership team with the appraisal of key tax developments
  • Assist the Group in preparation for key legislative changes
  • Assist with the maintenance of key tax governance requirements, such as SAO, CCO and Tax Risk Registers

Transfer pricing –

  • Assist with the management of the Group transfer pricing policy
  • Assist with the implementation of CbCR and BEPS Pillar II

Person specification:

  • ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualified with strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge
  • Top 10 practice experience
  • Detailed understanding of key corporate tax legislation and requirements
  • A good understanding of international, indirect and employment taxes would be beneficial but not required

Salary and benefits:

  • £45,000 to £60,000 depending on experience
