Long-Term Teachers are on the lookout for passionate professionals to work in the fantastic special needs provisions we support across the South West.About the role:We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Cover Supervisors who are eager to broaden their expertise and make a positive impact on students with special educational needs. Whether you are looking for part-time, full-time or ad-hoc work, we offer a range of opportunities that allow you to create a flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle. You can choose from day-to-day supply roles or commit to longer-term placements to further your career.As a SEN Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Support and guide students with special education needs in their learning journey
  • Implement and adapt planned activities to cater to the academic development of each student
  • Work closely with teachers and parents to ensure a collaborative approach to education
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment for all students
  • Engage with students across different age groups, demonstrating patience and compassion

To thrive in this role, you should posses:

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with teachers, parents and other staff members
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and experience in tailoring it to meet the needs of SEN students
  • A proactive approach with a strong initiative and problem solving skills
  • Prior experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs
