Today AmTrust International underwrites over $2.5bn of gross written premiums and employs more than 1500 people in 14 countries.Description:Position OverviewTo assist the Credit Control Manager with the development, implementation and maintenance of the company’s Credit Control framework.To maintain agreed service levels within the Credit Control Department and also adhere to all Regulatory Requirements.The principal objective of the finance function is to provide relevant, reliable and timely information for internal and external reporting purposes. This must be achieved within the legal and regulatory framework as stipulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the self-regulatory regime governing the accounting profession.To ensure all amounts owing to the group are collected and to ensure all reasonable steps are taken to enforce collection.Demonstrate appropriate, consistent and complete consideration of our customers and potential customers’ interests, throughout our business, on a continuous basisEssential Job Functions

  • Processing receipts, issuing statements, credit control and liaising with Agents
  • Support the management of the aged analysis, including investigation of overdue balances
  • Dealing with queries regarding account statements/payments
  • Cash allocation to include refunds and commission payments
  • Premium invoicing as required
  • Raising claims payments within the controlled procedure.
  • Reconciliations of TPA data.
  • Support the Credit Control Manager with the completion of a wide range of tasks
  • To provide assistance to other departments as required
  • Have an awareness of the FCA guidelines in relation to General Insurance, as well as other regulatory/legislative subject matters such as data protection
  • Comply with AmTrust procedures, policies and regulations as relevant to remit.
  • Ensure you complete all mandatory and job specific training requirements in line with the required time frames.
  • Complete the required number of hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as it pertains to your role and applicable qualifications and ensure this is logged in Workday. Fully participate in all applicable fitness and proprietary and Performance Review processes. Promptly advise your line manager/HR as to any matter that may be relevant and/or impact your ability to perform in your role.
  • Other duties may be assigned in order to meet the on-going needs of the organisation

Qualifications, Experience, CompetenceQualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of MS office, Word and Excel. Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Company’s mainframe and ancillary systems.

ExperienceGood understanding of Credit Control processes and Debtor management. With strong analytical skills that align with excellent excel skills. Confident in working with large Data Sets and undertaking large reconciliations. Good English skills both written and spoken. Diligent and tenacious to ensure the requirements of the role are fulfilled.Functional/Technical CompetenciesExperiencing with working with a cash reconciliation system like AutoRek, or similar systems that debtors are managed on.
