Credit Risk PM/BA – Risk TechnologyA Leading Financial Services firm are looking to hire an experienced Credit Risk PM/BA – who has speciofic exposure within Risk Technology (either as a PM or as a BA)

  • £650 – £750 a day (Inside IR35/Umbrella or PAYE only)
  • The role is an inital 6 month contract with scope to roll into a couple of years
  • Hybrid working – Based in London (3 days a week in the office/ 2 days a week at home)

Role OverviewThe role requires key commercial awareness across Banking, Capital Markets and ideally Credit Risk domain, also Market Risk. Relevant knowledge of derivatives products, including Options, Futures, Forwards and Swaps also Securities Financing Transactions (SFT) products.Key project areas involve strategic Data Migration initiatives and Counterparty Credit Risk related functionality, also Enterprise wide Stress Testing.Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex Credit Risk programs as part of the Consent Order and other Regulatory initiatives.
  • Own project goals leveraging expertise to inspire a sense of shared purpose within the project team.
  • Organize new challenges and drive business results.
  • Drive end results of the project as a representative of the business.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit clear and concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports.
  • Assess project risk potentials and discover potential problems before they occur.
  • Apply a proactive approach in routinely tracking the project participant progress against project goals.
  • Identify and where required amend the approach to the context and constraints of each project.
  • Possess the knowledge, skills and experience to be able to recognize when problems surface or potential problems are looming.
  • Articulate problems, bring the right people together to solve problems and know when the problem has been properly addressed and closed.
  • Communicate to all concerned parties project milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential customer escalation issues.
  • Proactively follow escalation and change control processes.
  • Own all management reports on a given engagement.
  • Promote good working relationships across a project needed to develop trust and communication among all of a project’s stakeholders.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy.
  • Applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications/Background

  • Extensive project management experience, also relevant Business Analysis experience.
  • Experience in Capital Markets domain.
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) awareness including coverage of range of methodologies including Waterfall and Agile processes.
  • Understanding of the mechanics and life cycle of derivatives products, including Options, Futures, Forwards and Swaps also Securities Financing Transactions (SFT) products, also Data migration related project experience, an advantage.
  • Understanding of the concepts of Counterparty Credit Risk or Market Risk highly beneficial including Basel III/IV, Credit Value Adjustment (CVA) and any other relevant Risk Regulations and measures.
  • Ability to understand complex System flows including their capabilities and limitations. When required represent flow and Application interactions diagrammatically. Risk Systems / Applications experience a distinct advantage.
  • Proven Ability to document requirements at Business and Functional level.
  • Strong communication skills and time management, ability to navigate a complex environment, work with a large group of stakeholders and participate in decision making.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
  • Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.
  • Use MS Office applications, MS Project, also good Jira and Confluence skills preferable.
