Job DescriptionAs the Supervisor, Credit you will report directly to the Manager, Receivables Management and will be part of AIM’s Finance Shared Services Center at our head office in Montréal, Canada.Your main responsibilities will be to supervise and perform credit risk analysis on our external clients and ensure accurate data in our systems for our customers and vendors.Credit

  • Conduct credit risk analysis on new and existing customers to determine financial exposure, approve or recommend appropriate credit limit and terms depending on your assigned delegation of authority.
  • Analyze financial indicators such as credit bureau reports, bank references, financial statement analysis (when available), payment history, and other sources.
  • Where applicable for high-risk accounts, obtain adequate security such as deposits, pre-payments, letters of credit, or credit insurance coverage, in accordance with corporate credit policies.

Master Data

  • Process on all requests for creation or updates of customer and vendor master data profiles in our various systems and bank platforms, within set service levels.
  • Perform required due diligence to validate and maintain current data integrity.
  • Provide a quality service to external and internal clients.
  • Identify data quality issues and initiate correction plan and implementation.

Supervision & Management

  • Supervise team of 1 to 2 Senior Analysts.
  • Provide coaching, development, and performance reviews with your staff.
  • Act as an escalation on matters for your team.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and initiate plan and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain training and SOP documentation.
  • Represent the Credit & Master Data function in meetings with other departments or on projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar function or in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledgeable in intermediate accounting principles with the ability to review and analyze financial statements to calculate financial ratios and assess risk.
  • Post-secondary education in an accounting or business-related field.
  • Ability to query and analyze various reports and tables.
  • Good general understanding of computer systems and accounting software.
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn systems and manage table-driven data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different situations and be proactive when facing challenges.
  • Ability to manage a large volume of transactions.
  • Good organizational skills, to work simultaneously with several sites and stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with solid business acumen.
  • Bilingualism (French/English)
