In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you’ll provide expert legal advice and guidance on a range of criminal and enforcement matters, including fraud prosecutions, consumer protection, and planning and environmental enforcement. You will manage a varied caseload, working closely with internal and external partners, and contribute to high-profile and impactful legal cases. As part of the Dispute Resolution and Employment Law Team, you’ll also have the chance to shape new business streams and further enhance your professional development.Key Responsibilities:Handle both contentious and non-contentious criminal and enforcement casesAdvise on fraud, consumer protection, planning, and highways enforcement prosecutionsProvide clear, practical legal advice and assist in the drafting of charges and enforcement noticesManage criminal cases through the full lifecycle, from investigation to sentencingBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external partnersWhat We’re Looking For:Qualified solicitor, barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ years of post-qualified experienceExpertise in criminal law and enforcement, including advising on criminal investigations and running casesStrong advocacy skills, with some experience in the Magistrates’ Court (desirable but not essential)Ability to work independently and deliver results in a high-pressure environmentA track record of building strong, collaborative relationships and providing clear, strategic legal adviceIf you’re ready to take on a new challenge in a supportive and dynamic public sector organisation, I’d love to hear from you!
