We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on candidate who thrives in a cross-functional environment and is excited to support the evolution of our Trust Operations team.In this position, you will be responsible for investigating and responding to severe harms and managing requests from government authorities, law enforcement, and NGOs. This role will also provide crucial support in responding to complex and sensitive crisis escalations. A successful candidate is willing and able to work with sensitive content, such as child exploitation, graphic physical or sexual violence, suicide/self-harm, and other material considered to be offensive or disturbing.Trust and safety are embedded in Bumble Inc.’s mission of creating a world where all relationships are healthy and equitable. Our wider Trust organization includes the centralized and dedicated teams focused on:-Creating products and systems that proactively detect and prevent harm and promote healthy, kind relationships-Developing policies that govern and adjudicate responsible, safe, inclusive, and respectful behaviour and content across all Bumble Inc. platforms-Supporting members who experience safety incidents in a trauma-informed, empathetic mannerThis role is a hybrid role and will be based in Austin, Texas, USA, reporting to the Critical Response Manager.Please note that this position involves exposure to sensitive and graphic content, including but not limited to vulgar, violent, and sexual content.\nWhat You’ll Do:
- Ability to review and be exposed to sensitive and graphic content daily as part of core role
- Enforce our policies for time-sensitive escalations involving child sexual abuse and exploitation, physical and sexual violence, trafficking, terrorism, and other critical issues, ensuring the prompt and effective protection of our users.
- Respond to urgent escalations and handle government, law enforcement, and NGO takedown and legal requests
- Scope out areas for improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Policy, Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience to identify and solve operational challenges
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and concise recommendations and present them to a range of stakeholders
- Participate in on-call rotations for nights, weekends, holidays, and as needed
Required Experience & Skills:
- 3-4 years of experience in Trust and Safety, especially in an operations or law enforcement response team, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise identifying and investigating behaviors by users who seek to commit crimes on online platforms
- Experience working with external entities such as law enforcement, government agencies, or NGOs, particularly those that handle child sexual abuse and exploitation and physical and sexual violence issues
- Demonstrated ability to quickly and independently prioritize urgent risks and make judgment calls on sensitive content
- Proficient in Portuguese, French, or second language is preferred

\n$70,000 – $94,000 a yearFor base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. This position is also typically eligible to participate in our short- and long-term incentive programs.
