You’ll love it here too.The opportunityIn the role of a Retirement & Pension Benefits Specialist, you will manage and oversee the accurate and timely disbursement of retirement and pension benefits to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of registered accounts (RRSP/RRIF/TFSA) and pension regulations and payment procedures. The Retirement and Pension Benefits Specialist will be responsible for processing pension payments, resolving payment discrepancies, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients’. If you have payroll systems and experience with retirement or pension plan administration, this role is for you!Areas of focusFinancial transactions. Executing financial transaction activities related to pensions and registered products (RRSP, RRIF, TFSA), A strong understanding of these products and the associated rules will be an asset as you will be processing benefit payment changes, taxable payments, and plan expenses in accordance with client instructions.Risk. Work with high risk and high client impact processes, including large dollar transactions, and transactions with tax implications for clients.Documentation. Maintenance of pensioner records and long-term document control and electronic reporting for all applicable tasks. This also includes maintenance of specific client procedures and profiles.Operations optimization. Proactively address potential procedure enhancements and best practices, sharing with management and peers.Privacy. Ensure that the confidentiality of the Bank and its customers in maintained by routinely securing all documentation during non-business hours and is aware of and adheres to employee code of conduct.Collaboration. Provide direct support to the CWB branch network, to enable them to deliver a “best in class” customer experience.Performance measures. Regularly review SLA targets in collaboration with individual leader to ensure client needs are met.Who we’re looking for & what you’ve doneNumbers bring you joy. You understand the payroll process.Customer service is a real thing – and it gets results when done right. You’ve gained some experience in this space, and you know the difference between good service & bad service. You know the difference in how it feels.Tech Savvy. You’re comfortable using excel to create financial analysis with intermediate formulas. You can create a pivot table in Excel and complete looks up without any worries. You’ve had previous experience working with a payroll system or with the Global Plus application.Organization? Time Management? These are two skills you have in spades! You have the knack to effectively manage several priorities simultaneously and a keen eye for details.Hard work? No problem. You are happy to roll up the sleeves to get the job done – and you’ve been known to have fun doing it too.
