Location Stevenage – Travel will be required

Your role
We are looking for a 3rd line Network Engineer to bring experience and knowledge to the team. Your role will involve the take on and management of LAN equipment with the FJ Data Centre’s, which supports the services for a global customer. This will include implementing configuration for new projects and hosted services, investigating and the resolution of network issues within the DC’s. The role also incorporates activities such as technical design support, switch, firewall, Load Balancers and NTP configurations and IT Health Checks. The role sometimes requires travel – driving licence and own vehicle is required.

Your experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of networks, network security and their configuration, particularly with Juniper technologies
  • Knowledge of Load Balancing and NTP
  • Well-developed leadership, management, and consulting skills
  • Strong, in-depth knowledge of networking technologies, i.e. LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, switching and subnet addressing.
  • Experience of network implementation work, network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Experiencing of working within a Data Centre environment
  • Juniper qualifications or equivalent experience desirable

This role will require you to hold a drivers license and be eligible to undergo an SC clearance.
