Location: Hybrid (2-3 days a week) Toronto, ON
Required within GTA
Contract Duration: Approx 5-6 months with End Date – Oct. 31/24
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/weekJob Responsibilities:
- The Data (entry and) Validation Officer is responsible for timely and accurate entry and validation of Non-Retail Credit data that is being migrated from one database to another CARDS* to NCino).
- Accurately establish and update Customer records (with appropriate borrower classifications, BIS, CAPAD, SIC and Business Risk codes, Statutory and Business Connections) linking the borrower to an authorized risk rating template if available and refreshing links upon subsequent review of the Borrower’s risk rating by the Credit Unit in the Corporate, Commercial and International CARDS databases
- Provide complete and accurate draft CARDS Presentations for release within GRM-Credit Risk Administration capturing often complex lending arrangements with various combinations of multiple borrowers, currencies, availment types and booking points. Linking facilities to established Guarantor records and risk rating models where appropriate.
- Safeguard the integrity of the credit database by ensuring consistent and accurate input for each Customer record established/updated and each CARDS Presentation
Must have Skills:
1) 2-3 years of Data entry and Validation experience
2) 2+ experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
3) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4) Excellent Time Management and Organizational skills – ability to prioritize and manage workflows smoothly and efficiently.
5) Keen attention to detail, and ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.Nice to Have:
1) Banking or Financial industry experience
2) Working knowledge of database file structure
3) Working knowledge of Bank lending policies, practices, and proceduresEducation/Experience:
- Community College Diploma, BComm Degree or equivalent
- 2-4 years of work experience in credit, loan accounting / operations departments or branches of financial institutions including brokerage houses, trust, mortgage or leasing companies
