Reference: 0649-24We are seeking to appoint a Decision Theatre Manager for Lancaster University’s new Decision Theatre. We require a person with good technical background in video production and a knowledge of AV.The Lancaster University Decision Theatre is a new and unique space on our Bailrigg campus. The room is semi-immersive space, comprising of 48 55inch LED screens.You will work in the Learning Spaces Technology Support, Digital Media, and the wider technical events delivery service team. However, the role will require you to partner and network with academics, researchers and professional services teams throughout the university and external parties who would like to use the Decision Theatre.You should be positive and self-motivated, wanting to learn through working closely with the team, wider ISS, University, and external sources and with a well-developed and deep knowledge of AV solutions for teaching and events.Experience of video production and content creation software – examples Notch, Unreal engine, green hippo ect.Experience of stakeholder/ customer management- to engage with multiple teams to establish deliverables for a project and to steer working groups.Knowledge of AV systems or AV system design from an Events or Broadcasting backgroundExperience in VR content management and deployment- This role will be responsible the day-to-day operations and management of 40+ VR headsetsExperience of working with AV installation contractors to specify, procure and manage the installation of the equipment and systems.Show examples of working on, or interests in developing technologies like AI, VR, AR and how these can be used in teaching and learning environments of the future.Learning Technology and Events is at the heart of delivery of great experiences for students, staff and wider participants in university. It is desirable you have experience in both areas and a good understanding of future developments in these areas.
